After two days of driving we arrived in Jasper that welcomed us with much better weather than our previous visit. After checking into our nice and comfortable hotel we took the chances to look out for moose. Two locations were recommended: Pocahontas Ponds and Maligne Lake – both appr. one hour away from Jasper. We decided to head to Maligne Lake and shortly before we wanted to get back in our car Eva found the moose grassing along the road hardly to see from the visitor area.
There were several mule deer as well that were not scared at all and just continued having dinner which we had shortly after we returned to our hotel.
